Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the test.buddhistcc.com website, operated by Buddhist Cultural Centre Online (henceforth referred to as ‘BCC’). Your access to and use of the website is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these terms. These terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the BCC website. By accessing or using the website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the website.
Payment
The Buddhist Cultural Center supports the following gateways:

- Debit Cards (with Visa/MasterCard logo)

Upon completion and submission of a purchase form, an e-receipt will be mailed to the email address provided by the customer in the aforementioned form. The e-receipt will contain any and all details the BCC sees as pertaining to the item listed for purchase, including name, reference number and receipt number. The BCC will only begin to process the order upon receipt of confirmation from the bank.
Delivery
The customer must choose from the following mail services that the BCC provides in the online purchase form:
- DHL
- Aramex
- AirMail
- Sri Lanka Post (Domestic)
Upon receipt of confirmation of payment, the Buddhist Cultural Center will release purchased books to the mail service selected by the customer in the online purchase form. The BCC hereby exempts itself from any and all responsibilities pertaining to the shipment or postage of goods. The time taken for delivery, and quality of service, will depend on the express mail service or shipping service selected by the customer in the online purchase form.
Return Policy
In the case of returns, a formal complaint must be lodged (in writing) within 14 days of the purchase. The return of purchased items is only acceptable under the following circumstances:
- Manufacturing defects in items such as audio or video cassettes, CDs and DVDs.
- Printing or binding defects in printed material
- The shipment of an item that was not ordered, or the failure to ship an ordered item.
The Buddhist Cultural Center will bear no expense for postage of formal complaints, or returned items. The Buddhist Cultural Center is exempt from any and all liability pertaining to manufacturing defects if foul play is suspected or discovered.
Refund Policy
The BCC will consider a refund on a purchased item only if said item becomes unavailable after purchase. A request for a refund must be made within 2 days of the transaction. The average period of time taken for a refund can range between 14 and 21 days.
Intellectual Property Policy
Any persons found to have:
- subjected the BCC logo to alteration or mutilation
- reproduced (in any form) the BCC logo or the name ‘Buddhist Cultural Center’
- claimed unfounded affiliation between the BCC and any persons or products
without the prior consent of the BCC, will face legal action, and possibly criminal prosecution.
Privacy Policy
The BCC is bound by Sri Lankan law to the nondisclosure of customers’ personal information. Only the following information can be requested from the online customer on the purchase form:
- name
- billing address
- telephone number
- email address
Personal information provided in the online purchase form will not be released to a third party under any circumstances whatsoever. Any personal information provided will be neither stored nor utilised by the Buddhist Cultural Center or its affiliates. The BCC assures complete confidentiality and safeguards the privacy of its online customers.
Disclaimer:
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these terms and conditions at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 15 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you forfeit your right to use our services. Further, the BCC may terminate or suspend access to the website and it’s services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the terms.
